CARLS Brasserie combines typical French brasserie style with a fantastic view of Hamburg’s port. Chef de cuisine Michel Rinkert is an expert in the classic French dishes of his home country and north German dishes with that certain something. The view over the harbour adds a flavour of Hamburg.

Attention: From January 1st to January 3rd 2020 the CARLS remains closed.

CARLS WINE BAR is located right on the waterfront. Its sunny terrace is sheltered from the wind and allows you to enjoy a splendid view of the water and harbour. And mouth-watering specialities from France. Restaurant manager Lena Fitoussi and her team look forward to welcoming you for a glass of wine, a sundowner or a bite to eat. Come and savour intriguing wines from young winemakers and fine wines from renowned wine producers.

CARLS WINE BAR can be rented out for events if you’re looking for a place to party with a view of the Elbe. Please enquire by mailing or calling +49 (0)40/300 322-400.

At CARLS an der Elbphilharmonie in the midst of HafenCity it’s a case of laissez-faire mingled with a vibrant atmosphere. In fact, similar to French brasseries and bistros. Enjoy this little piece of France in a wonderful setting with two separate areas – Brasserie and Bistro. Two people also define what makes CARLS special.
